SULFUR

Description

In chemistry, the term sulfur is used for several types of chemical compounds containing sulfur at the oxidation level of -2. Sulfur is sometimes erroneously translated into Turkish as sulfide, as it corresponds to the English term “sulfide”; sulfide is the name of the SO₃⁻ ion, and sulfur is the name of the S²⁻ ion.
