DEG
Colorless, transparent and low-viscosity liquid. It is a straight-chain compound terminated at both ends with a hydroxyl group. It is completely soluble in water. It is miscible with many organic solvents. It is miscible with water, ethanol, acetone, ether, ethylene glycol.
Usage areas:
- In the production of
- polyurethane and polyester
- As a thinner in the printing ink and textile industry
- As a thinner in the adhesive
- and cosmetic industry
- As a snow spray on airplanes and railroads
- As a humectant in the tobacco industry
- As an auxiliary agent in the content of textile dyes
- As a solvent in nitrocellulose resin, paint, oil and other organic compounds
- As a raw material for the production of esters used as emulsifier-demulsifier and lubricant
- In de-icing and anti-ice applications
- As metalworking fluid
